Sustainability report 2025 RTS Textiles Group.

Our Second Sustainability Report Highlights Progress in the Global Commitment of the RTS Textiles Group

As an international manufacturer of workwear fabrics and part of the RTS Textiles Group, we have published our second annual sustainability report – one year after the release of our first report in July 2024. The current publication outlines the significant progress we have made across the group in the areas of environmental protection, resource efficiency, and sustainable innovation.

The report reflects a milestone year for the RTS Textiles Group:
At the beginning of 2025, the group was officially formed through the consolidation of RTS Textiles Ltd. with our long-standing joint venture partners TMG in Portugal and STM in Pakistan. This strategic unification created a globally operating group under joint ownership – with all former partner companies now becoming shareholders. The result is a global organization with an annual production capacity of over 130 million metres, operating across the UK, continental Europe, and Asia.

Measurable Sustainability – Progress Across All Sites

All production sites have delivered concrete and measurable environmental achievements:

  • Carrington Textiles International (Pakistan):
€3.4 million invested in a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant to increase capacity
Over 20,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions reduced
95% of caustic soda recovered through a recovery system
98% of steam demand met via biomass boilers
  • MGC (Portugal):
7% reduction in CO₂ emissions per tonne of product
Digitalisation of energy management using Siemens Energy Manager Pro
Launch of composting initiatives through the reuse of biomass ash
  • Pincroft (United Kingdom):
68% of electricity generated on-site via CHP (combined heat and power)
100% of purchased electricity now sourced from renewable energy (REGO-certified)
    Strengthening Our Sustainable Product Portfolio

We have also expanded our sustainable product offering. New technologies and fibres such as Sorona® complement our continued commitments to Better Cotton, REPREVE® recycled polyester, organic cotton, TENCEL™, and CiCLO® – delivering high-performance, environmentally conscious fabrics for tomorrow’s workwear.

John Vareldzis, CEO of RTS Textiles Group, states:
"The progress outlined in this report highlights the strong commitment across our group to driving positive change. From decarbonising our operations to pioneering sustainable materials, we continue to challenge ourselves to lead with responsibility and innovation."
